About the event
What do Barriere, Kelowna, Jasper, Lyton, Fort McMurray, and Slave Lake have in common…these are towns and cities that have been significantly damaged by wildfires. We have seen how a wildfire catches hold of a community and spreads with resulting catastrophic loss of homes, businesses and infrastructure.
On June 24, representatives from Cowichan Emergency Management will present an evening devoted to presenting home owners with techniques and modifications to reduce their risks from wild fires.
This is a FREE event and everyone is welcome to attend.
