The Ladysmith Sportsmen’s Club is once again inviting the community to come together for a day of stewardship, teamwork, and pride in our local environment.
On May 2, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, volunteers will gather to take part in the Annual Earth Day Cleanup, helping to protect and preserve some of the most important natural areas around Ladysmith.
Where They Will Be Working
This year’s cleanup will focus on several key areas that need attention, including:
Timberlands pit area
Haslam Creek
Nanaimo Lakes Road
Ladysmith Boat Launch
These locations play an important role in our local ecosystem and recreation spaces, and your help makes a real difference in keeping them clean and accessible for everyone.
Event Details
Participants are asked to meet at Bush Creek Hatchery at 9:00 AM for directions, safety information, and cleanup assignments. From there, groups will head out to their designated areas.
Community Support
A big thank you goes out to the local contractors who have already reached out to offer support - your contributions are greatly appreciated.
